Security Specialist at Svenska kraftnät

Svenska kraftnät plays a key role in the transition to a more electrified and sustainable Sweden. Our vital mission is to ensure that electricity reaches people, a task where you as a security specialist will have a significant role.

About the position

As a security specialist in the security support unit, you will be responsible for planning and implementing the overall security work of the projects. The role involves both operational work and strategic support, focusing on facilitating security work and contributing to progress in the projects.

Your tasks will include:

  • Providing support in security issues and in the application of security protection legislation.
  • Conducting specific security protection assessments together with the projects.
  • Supporting projects in the process of signing and following up on security protection agreements.
  • Contributing assessments of security-sensitive parts in various project phases.
  • Coordinating contacts with relevant units and specialist functions within the security department.
  • Participating in the development of routines, processes, and working methods within the unit and security department.
  • Contributing to knowledge-enhancing initiatives and increased awareness within the security field.

The security support unit has been created to ensure that security work functions smoothly in Svenska kraftnät's project operations and to provide operational support in security issues, so that laws, requirements, and internal guidelines are applied effectively and appropriately.

About you

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is structured and can plan and organize their work effectively. You are skilled at creating contacts and building relationships, and you understand the value of collaborating and leveraging each other's competencies. In this role, it is important to have the ability and willingness to handle multiple parallel projects and tasks simultaneously. Furthermore, the position requires analytical skills to interpret laws, regulations, and requirements and translate them into practical solutions that support the projects. You are goal- and result-oriented and motivated by contributing to progress in the projects without compromising safety.

We place great importance on your personal qualities.

You also have an academic or other post-secondary education in areas such as law, political science, security, or equivalent work experience that the employer deems relevant.

You also have:

  • Relevant and current work experience in security protection that includes analysis and assessment.
  • Good knowledge of security protection legislation and the ability to apply its requirements in an organization.
  • Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

We consider it a merit if you have experience in:

  • Working with critical infrastructure.
  • Conducting specific security protection assessments.
  • Working within a government agency or public administration.
